Happy Halloween

This year I decided to be Tinkerbell. Mommy made my dress and I already had some Tinkerbell wings. Now...everything was great with my dress, except it was made like Tinkerbell's dress and doesn't have a lot of material. Mommy said I could wear a white shirt underneath, but I refused (so I froze instead). Mommy did throw a sweater in the van, but I never wore it. I wasn't outside for too long at a time, so I never got THAT cold! I begged to go Trick-or-Treating all day, but we ended up waiting until Daddy got home. Once Daddy got home we hit several house here in town and then headed to church for Trunks of Treats, which is always a lot of fun!

Once we got to church we colored (which is always a favorite of mine), played games, ate hot dogs and chips, then we started trick-or-treating at the trunks of lots of cars. By the time that I got done at all the cars my bag was so full. It was so heavy that I couldn't hardly carry it anymore. I had fun, but was tired and ready to head home for my bed.

Dressing up for School

Happy Halloween!!!
This morning I got to wear my Halloween costume to school.

Mom made me have a picture at home before we left for school.

This is me at school by my locker.

Here I am with my teacher.

Mrs. Chandler was dressed as a nice witch.

We wore our costumes to school and then we went on a Costume Parade. It took us an hour to walk around the whole school. We went into all the big kid classrooms to show them how we all dressed up. I had fun and got some candy also!

A Few Camping Pictures

Here are a few pictures of Faith from camping at Patoka Lake. It was a little cold, but it did warm up in the afternoons. It rained a little, but not too bad. Faith had fun, regardless of the less than ideal weather. We still rode bikes, went to the lake (eventhough the water was VERY high), played at the playgrounds, and just had fun sitting by the fire!
Enjoy the Pictures:

The Case of the Missing Baby.

I went to Mamaw and Papaw's tonight while Mom and Dad had group. Mom and Dad always come back to get me when Group is over. Mamaw always puts me to bed (since I have school I cannot stay up late) in her bed and then Daddy always carries me to the van and then carries me to bed. I usually stay asleep through all of this with no problem. Well...when Dad and Mom came in Mamaw and Papaw's house tonight, Papaw told Mom about the missing baby problem. I had taken a small baby with me (I had been playing with this baby all day....so it was the choice baby/animal of the day) and now the baby was GONE! Mamaw and Papaw had searched all over their house and came to the conclusion that I hadn't really brought the baby with me. I knew that I had that baby and I wanted it back. I was crying so hard, because I wanted to sleep with THAT baby and nothing else. Mommy and Daddy looked everywhere in the house too and couldn't find it. Mom finally said we would go home and see if we had left it at home (eventhough Mommy was 99 percent sure we had brought that baby with us). Daddy made one more trip through the living room (because that was the last place I remembered having it). Just as we were getting ready to give up the search, Daddy saw something peeking out of the couch cushions. Baby was hiding in the couch in the corner where it was really hard to find her. So...Thankfully I was able to get baby and head home to go to bed. By the time I actually got in bed it was almost 10:00 (2 hours past my bedtime). Mommy said she would let me sleep in a little bit, but I still had to get up for school in the morning.

Meet the Parent

Since I am "Star of the Week" Mrs. Chandler (my teacher) encourages my mom, dad, or grandparent to come into the class. Mrs. Chandler says they can talk about their job, read a book, do a craft, or whatever they want. Since Daddy was at work, Mommy came to class. Mom decided to stay with her Fall theme and make a craft. My friends and I got to make a tree that had Fall leaves on it. We all had a lot of fun making our trees, even though those little pipe cleaners were a little bit tricky for some of us.

I also got to take a book into school today for Mrs. Chandler to read. I wanted to take my Princess Stories book, but Mom said, "No." Mom wouldn't let me because it isn't really a good book to read to a class, because it is simply a collection of lots of different Princess stories broken into lots of different groups. Mom thought I could take a Fall themed book in, but the only good one we could find on the shelf was one that we had already read at school. So...I decided to take into school A Bad Case of Stripes. It just so happens that Mrs. Chandler loves that book and she was really glad that I brought it in. She said it was very appropriate, because we have been talking about lots of colors lately (we are learning to read and write our color words). We even started a new color today, blue. If you haven't ever read A Bad Case of Stripes, so should really check it out. Camilla (the little girl in the book) changes lots of different colors, all because she won't eat lima beans.

So...that was the "Star of the Day" excitement for today. I get to be the "Star" one more day and then it will be someone else's turn. It's been a good week!

What is in the Bag?

Today for "Star of the Week" I got to bring a toy in for show-n-tell. It really wasn't too hard for me to decide on what to bring. I, of course, took my Lady dog. I took my big Lady that I got when we went to DisneyWorld. Mom put Lady in a bag for me this morning, so that it would be a surprise to my friends at school when I pulled her out of the bag.

Snack Day

Since I'm the "Star of the Week" I got to take snack to school today to share with my friends. Mom and I made Leaf shaped Sugar Cookies with Orange and Yellow icing into class. My friends and I got to eat them in class today!! Mom decided to make my week a Fall themed week, so that is why she made Leaf Shaped Cookies. After we had made them she thought she should have made them "Star" shaped, for "Star of the Week", but the leaves were made and everyone ate them all the same.

Star of the Week

Each week in my Kindergarten class there is a star of the week. So...the star this week is ME! Today I got to take 4 pictures into class: a picture of me, a picture of my family, a picture of me as a baby, and a picture of my pet (that would be Cassie the crazy dog!). Mrs. Chandler put my pictures up on the bulletin board today, so that all my friends could see them.

I get to do lots of fun things this week, so check back often to see what is happening to "Faith---Star of the Week".
